Our History
Shelburne Fresh Variety opened in 2000 owned & operated by Collette and Brent Gray. Brent's Grandparents, Harman and Annie May Leader, opened Leader's Clover Farm in 1959 located in Orangeville. His parents, Frank & Bonnie Gray helped from the start and eventually owned the business on thier own. Brent the 3rd generation was involved at Clover Farm as produce manager, as well as being produce manager at other local grocery stores.
We decided to open our own store figuring if we are going to work hard then we might as well work for ourselves. Although there is a lot of work involved to running a business, it helps to lighten the load with a spouse who compliments you in every way.
Shelburne Fresh Variety is not your average neighborhood store we offer a large variety of produce & support local when in season. Our buyer goes direct to the Ontario Food Terminal to select the best produce that can be acquired.
We offer a variety of local products along with Dairy, Meat & Groceries. Our Garden Center stays in full bloom all season long carrying plants, mulch, soil, & garden ornaments. With new products arriving throughout the season.
